DEFINITION OF PROPRIETARY GUIDELINES FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF INFORMATION MODELLING (BIM) IN THE MANAGEMENT OF THE EXISTING RAI PROPERTY PORTFOLIO

The drafting of the RAI-BIM guidelines represents the first stage in a process of systematisation of the management of RAI property assets through the use of information modelling, thereby aligning the organisation with important clients in Europe and the USA. BIM methodology and the use of collaborative processes have been integrated within the business procedures and the organisation of RAI itself; the result is an integrated digital system, which is divided into several guidelines. The methodology, which has been validated at the RAI facility in Bologna, is the basis for the multi-year planning for the digitalisation of the RAI portfolio and the integrated management of 70 properties (approx. 1 million mq) located across the country.

Classification of the guidelines drafted:
RAI BIM GUIDELINE 1: Information modelling of new construction projects
RAI BIM GUIDELINE 2: Information modelling of projects for existing buildings
RAI BIM GUIDELINE 3: Information modelling for routine and emergency maintenance projects
