Ricerca e Documentazione Internazionale per il Paesaggio

Since 2006, PaRID has been carrying out research and documentation activities on landscape, in application of the UNESCO Convention concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage (1972) and the European Landscape Convention (2000).
PaRID specialises in studying and understanding the relationship between landscape and heritage, from both a theoretical/methodological and operational perspective. It has the skills to conduct high-level research at different scales: from landscape to historic gardens and diffused ‘plant architecture’.
PaRID has carried out and continues to carry out research and scientific support activities: at the international level for the Council of Europe, ICOMOS; in Italy for MiBAC, MISE, local authorities. In recent years, it has developed the themes of conservation and enhancement of the rural landscape, with a focus on urban agriculture.

Research and documentation of the themes of culture and policies relating to the landscape in Italy and Europe, and assistance for Italian and foreign bodies working in the various areas of landscape policy across different administrative levels.
