SPORT.SPAZIO.SOCIETÀ

The Laboratory represents a service for the deployment of regeneration projects and the design of new spaces and areas intended for sporting activity. In particular, it aims to define and apply protocols and tools for urban and social regeneration, with a focus on sport, public space and free time.
The Laboratory is in a position to support public administrations, businesses, companies involved in the processes of land transformation and the stakeholders involved in the same, providing them with planning, procedural and design services and is able to create scientific/systematic strategies and visions for the regeneration and innovation of space and its functions in order to establish a new culture of leisure time and sporting activity. Architecture and spaces for sport, culture and health are seen through a lens of inclusivity and ethical sustainability, while at the same time being interpreted as catalysts for economic and technological development, from an international markets perspective.
More specifically, the Laboratory’s analysis and meta-design activities relate to the fields that characterise the recent evolution of the relationship between collective infrastructure and the city. These include: indoor and outdoor sporting facilities for the practice of “basic” sporting activity (sports centres, gyms, swimming pools, youth clubs); high performance facilities such as sports infrastructure for events and sporting spectacles (stadia, arenas); public and urban spaces dedicated to social, cultural and sporting activities (city-gyms, city-theatres); collective structures and architecture linked to cultural activities and psychophysical wellbeing.
